Association Euni Partners hosted the 7th international event within the IN NEET project in Blagoevgrad,Bulgaria on 29th, 30th and 31th of March 2023.
During the event Mrs Stanislava Popovska – Director of Directorate “Regional Employment Service – Blagoevgrad ” presented the state policies for addressing Youth Unemployment: Instrument of the state for employment and new opportunities for self-realization. Mrs Veronika Velichkova – chief legal counsel, Department of Financial and Business Activities, personnel and legal Services in Directorate Regional Employment Service – Blagoevgrad introduced the Employment Programmes, Qualification Courses and Youth Employment Services.
The possibilities for interaction between all stakeholders to attract young people to civil, economic and political life in Bulgaria were discussed by Mrs Miglena Bacheva, chief expert – district with administrative center – Blagoevgrad.
The participants were acquainted with People’s community centers – the oldest cultural institution, an element of the community to preserve, educate and develop by Mrs Rumyana Angelova and Mrs Bilyana Vancheva – regional expert-consulting and Information Center – Community Centres, Ministry of Culture. Mrs Miglena Mihailova, Association “L.I.D.E.R.” presented the potential of the Roma Community on the labor market.
In order to engage the young people for Bottom-Up Change Initiation “Youth Empowerment” Ilina Yakova organized a role-game, based on OST – participatory methods. As a result, the youth, together with the representatives of the project partners and of the local and regional institutions defined the major problems and proposed solutions for improving youth employment. The participants visited the city of Sandanski, where they were welcomed by the Mayor of the Municipality – Mr Atanas Stoyanov and his team, who presented good practices for attracting young people to the labor market – opportunities for realization in a Municipality oriented towards tourism and agriculture.The project partners explored best practices and good examples of young entrepreneurs in the smallest town- museum in Bulgaria – Melnik.
