Between 20th and 22nd June, Association Euni Partners took part in the 2nd international meeting of the project Heart of Europe, funded under the Europe for Citizens Programme 2014-2020 of the EU, which was held in the Municipality of Larissa, Greece.
The Municipality of Larissa organized a discussion and presented its best practices on cultural tourism development. A workshop on how to organize a cultural event that would have features of connectivity was made.
Partners discussed the issue of the awareness of one’s identity and cultural heritage and shared good practices on how to evoke interest of people for cultural events. Focus was put on tourism as a tool for spreading and promoting culture along with EU values.
The Greek partner presented the Municipality’s Pinios Festival, their own example of successful event, part of their touristic offer and cultural tourism. Partners had the opportunity to participate in several workshops within the festival.
