The EPIC-UP project aims at creating more effective integration strategies that address the specific needs and challenges faced by migrants. Furthermore, it will upscale the EPIC (European Platform of Integrating Communities) project by connecting and informing people on migrant issues, as well as creating CoPs (Communities of Practice) in order to include more effectively people from migrant backgrounds into the civil life.

The ultimate goal of the EPIC-UP project is to establish a replicable model for multi-stakeholder collaboration that can be adopted by other localities across Europe, promoting a more inclusive and welcoming environment for migrant people.

EPIC-UP project is funded by the EU program AMIF (Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund).

First face-to-face partners meeting – EPIC UP project

The first face-to-face meeting of partner organisations of the EPIC-UP (Upscaling the European Platform of Integrating Communities) project kicked off in Barcelona, Spain. The meeting was co-hosted by the European Association for Local Democracy (ALDA) and it took place during their “Local Democracy for Global Impact” festival from the 14 to the 15 of May 2024, in the framework of their General Assembly.

The ALDA Festival and General Assembly 2024 – “Local Democracy for Global Impact” was a three-day event aimed to foster connections between citizens and local authorities. Furthermore, the atendees had the opportunity to discuss key topics related to citizens engagement, migration, gender equality, human rights and youth engagement. The EPIC-UP partners participated at this event in order to explore synergies with other migration initiatives.

The main goal of the EPIC-UP project is to develop and test new integration strategies for migrant groups at regional and local level. EPIC-UP partners actively participated, seeking synergies with other initiatives addressing migration challenges.

EPIC-UP project is funded by the EU program AMIF (Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund).
