The ECO CHEF project is innovative, experimental, and sustainable from an environmental, social, and employment perspective. Its ecological vision goes hand in hand with its inclusiveness and is designed in line with the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations.
The project aims to offer training courses for disadvantaged people to gain essential skills and knowledge in the field of the agri-food sector, to be more competitive in the labour market. After completing the training courses participants will be capable of fully managing an economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable business. The project partners thus share the goal of preventing the marginalization of the most fragile individuals by facilitating their acquisition of an active role in society.
Implementing the aforementioned objectives in 2 very different contexts such as Italy and Bulgaria will allow us to define some peculiarities that can then be exported throughout Europe starting with what has been observed in the Mediterranean and Eastern Europe area.
Recipients will be exclusively disadvantaged people: people with physical and/or mental disabilities, NEETs, and people with social and/or family distress, at risk of exclusion.
