In September 2024, people from Bulgaria and Greece gathered in a clean-up initiative in the framework of the project “Inequalities Matter”. The event was preceded by two collaborative meetings, where the participants shared valuable insights and outlined the required key actions for improving the quality of the living environment in Blagoevgrad region.
During the first meeting, representatives of the local community identified the current environmental issues, exchanged meaningful experience and discussed in an open dialogue the most effective ways for addressing them.
Throughout the second session, the emphasis was put on the logistics and the organization of the clean-up event. Key details were carefully planned, resulting in a well-defined implementation plan, ready for execution.
The initiative was beneficial both for the environment and the community well-being. It successfully highlighted the importance of collaboration for meaningful impact.
