On February 26–27th and April 9th, 2025 Association Euni Partners held a workshop titled “Discover Yourself: Body – Mind – Emotions” which was carried out as part of the project EUth: Strengthening Youth and Democracy in Europe, funded by the Erasmus+ program. The workshop took place at the Regional Library „Dimitar Talev“– Blagoevgrad.
The method used in the workshop was the 3E (Embody, Express, Empower), which is based on somatic psychology and expressive art therapy. This method integrates principles from various therapeutic approaches, emphasizing the connection between body, mind, and emotions in the process of self-discovery, development, and growth.
At the very beginning of the workshop, a safe and welcoming environment was created to help young participants to go deeper into their unconscious and uncover aspects of themselves that usually remain hidden.
The workshop activities were structured in a sequential and constructive manner. It began with a circle of trust and the passing of an “energy ball,” which helped participants get to know each other and feel more at ease. The second activity aimed to uncover suppressed fears and emotions that prevent them from being their best selves. After that, each participant took a test to identify their dominant archetypes according to Carol S. Pearson test. The young people also took on the role of sculptors, using the others as “living clay” to portray oppression based on their personal experiences. The workshop concluded with muscle testing, through which participants were able to assess the strength and truth of their personal beliefs.
The workshop achieved an incredibly positive impact among the participants. They shared that the overall experience was extremely valuable and that they were able to learn more about themselves.
