Association “Euni-Partners” realized a 3-days Socialisation and self-esteem training for youth workers who work with children with SEN and disabilities. The training was held in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria, between 28-30 June, and it is part of a project Listen, Analyse, Act: training courses for youth workers in the disability sector.
During the activities, all participants – youth educators, social workers, and psychologists got acquainted with new methods for recognizing the different levels of the child’s communication and what support they need in developing social skills, specifically self-esteem, which is essential for relationship building, learning, and independent living.
During the second day, experts were presented with several psychologic tests that can show the children’s capacity to analyze the behavior of others by recognizing mental states and help youth workers to tailor their intervention to specific problems for each child.
