From January 21st to 24th, Association Euni Partners participated in a Steering Committee meeting
in Brescia, Italy, in the framework of the EPIC-UP project, funded by the AMIF
programme of the European Union.
On the first day, the meeting began with an inspiring exchange of good practices for social inclusion from each partner’s country. This was a valuable opportunity for everyone to share their diverse experiences and insights, as well as to discuss successful approaches to integrating migrant communities and promoting social cohesion. At the end of the day, all partners had a brainstorming session regarding the project’s upcoming activities and strategies.
On the 22nd of January, partners visited the Municipality of Brescia, where they met with councillors with migrant backgrounds and the City Council President. During the meeting, the role of local governance in fostering inclusive environments was emphasised. This was followed by a guided tour of the “La stagione della migrazione a Nord” exhibition by a Sudanese refugee artist, Khalid Albaih, who shared meaningful perspectives on migration and the human experience.
The final day focused on collaboration and evaluation. All partners participated in a workshop, where they worked in small groups, reflecting on ways to enhance good practices. Each group was given one good practice from those presented on the first day. Multiple methodologies for introspection were implemented throughout the workshop, resulting in a collective contribution to the improvement of good practices.
