Association EUni Partners participated in the last training part of the project Listen, Act, Analyse. The activities took place in Thessaloniki, Greece, between 17-21 October, and were focused on the Augmentative and Alternative Communication method (AAC).
During the course, the trainees from 3 countries had the opportunity to learn different methods and AAC tools for supporting children with disabilities and special educational needs.
While the first day of the training was focused more on the theoretical part, the rest of the days were dedicated to demonstrations and practices. The trainees learned also how to work with PECS cards and in which cases it is good to use them. All planned activities and exercises helped participants to better understand the needs of the children with disabilities and SEN, especially those with autism, and different ways of communication with them.

The first meeting within the project R(AE)L INCLUSION was held in Rijeka, Croatia on the 23rd of November. During the meeting the consortium discussed in details the project aims, expected results, and the foreseen activities. In order to ensure the successful realization of the project, main strategies were discussed and unanimously adapted by the partners. This meeting also laid a foundation of the future collaboration between the members of the consortium.

R(AE)L INCLUSION project’s focus is on adults with learning and behavioural difficulties and disabilities and adult educators working in different adult education programmes. The project aims to educate adult educators to approach and respond to the needs of the adult learners, through different teaching methods and strategies, in order to support and provide them with a wider opportunity for learning, education, employment, and social interaction. Instead of developing and implementing new programs designed especially for people with disabilities, educators will be prepared to work with the target group in regular classes together with other adult learners. In this way, inclusion will be achieved, and the classroom will be a space for socialization and interaction between a diverse group of adults.
During the project life-cycle, the following results are expected:
In-Service Training Programme for Adult Educators comprising 30 hours of face-to-face learning and 20 hours of online learning.
Virtual Toolkit: set of tasks and an e-Diary for adult educators to complete and reflect on their work and performance after the completion of the training programme.
Online Platform for e-learning containing 50 hours of the online training programme

The consortium of the project The Third reading Age gathered together for the final international meeting in Rijeka, Croatia. The main topics that were discussed were an overview of the project results, what has been done so far and what needs to be done by each partner. Final activities – Multiplier events in each partner’s country should be organized within this month. During these events, all project results and outcomes will be presented to local authorities and institutions, educators, training centers for adult education, and other stakeholders.

Association Euni Partners took part in a 3-days training for adult education in Faenza, Italy. The training is part of the project Third Reading Age.
During the activities, all participants – adult educators, teachers, and librarians – get acquainted with the online learning platform for adults. The platform was designed and developed for the purposes of the project and it will serve as an instrument for adult learners to gain basic digital skills and knowledge about using different digital tools in order to be more active and engaged in the digital world.
The trainees also learned about various practices on how to create an appropriate and supportive learning environment for adults, their needs, characteristics and challenges.

From 26th to the 28th of September 2022 Association Euni Partners took part in the 4th International Meeting within the project IN NEET. The main aims of the project are to build channels and social spaces in order to reintegrate NEETs into society, especially those who are long-term unemployed. Our partner, Asociatia se poate- Romania , hosted the event in Bucharest, Romania.
During this event, the current situation of the project was presented by the Lead Partner- Municipality of Alimos, Greece. A job shadowing with experts was organized about the relation between school, unemployment and NEETS, where the influence of formal, non-formal and informal education on NEET phenomenon were discussed. Also, the participants visited Fundatia Parada – an organization, dedicated to supporting persons with fewer opportunities in Bucharest.
Furthermore, innovative educational spaces were discussed, such as co-working spaces, which give opportunity to artists, designers, architects, etc. to meet each other, to work together, share ideas. Afterwards the participatns were acquainted with a social entreprise – a coffee shop where youth with Down syndrome work and socialize to build their path for independent living.
Association “Euni-Partners” realized a 3-days Socialisation and self-esteem training for youth workers who work with children with SEN and disabilities. The training was held in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria, between 28-30 June, and it is part of a project Listen, Analyse, Act: training courses for youth workers in the disability sector.
During the activities, all participants – youth educators, social workers, and psychologists got acquainted with new methods for recognizing the different levels of the child’s communication and what support they need in developing social skills, specifically self-esteem, which is essential for relationship building, learning, and independent living.
During the second day, experts were presented with several psychologic tests that can show the children’s capacity to analyze the behavior of others by recognizing mental states and help youth workers to tailor their intervention to specific problems for each child.

From the 23rd to the 25th of May 2022 Association Euni Partners participated in the 3rd Transnational Partners Meeting within the project IN NEET, which encourages young people to build a better Europe. Our partner, the Municipality of Athienou, has hosted the event and has been held in the Athienou Municipal Hall, in Athienou, Cyprus.
During the first day of the meeting, all of the partners were first introduced to the current state of the project. The meetings served also as an opportunity for sharing and exchanging good practices. The host of the meeting, the Municipality of Athienou, presented the developed voluntarism in the town as a tool for building a better aware and participatory society. In the following days, the main activities were focused on open debates about the influence of territorial context in the NEET phenomenon and young social exclusion, and what kind of policy-making processes we would implement at the EU, regional and local levels. The project part of the meetings concluded with exchanging of ideas and experiences about regional, urban and rural development initiatives of the European Union and making distinctions depending on the target territory considered.
The project Listen, Analyse, Act aims to promote the exchange of good practices and knowledge for a greater involvement of professionals and all those who are part of the educational sphere of children and adolescents with disabilities or special educational needs (e.g. families, caregivers, educators) in order to meet their developmental needs and to participate actively in the definition of their educational projects. It main goal is to develop training course targeted to youth workers, social educators and professionals working in the socio-educational sector with children and adolescents with disabilities or special educational needs.
Target Groups • Youth workers, educators, teachers, social assistants between 18-30 years old • Private organizations at local, national and international level (associations, organizations etc.); • National and European schools; • Training institution; • Families with disabled children; • Caregiver; • Children with disability or special educational need; • National and European stakeholders.
Association EUni Partners took part in the 7th Workshop organized within project ERAS: European Alliance for Volunteer Support. Our great hosts were SHOQATA Udhëtim i lirë association.
The workshop was held 3 days in Albania in the city of Durrës and was themed around the impact of volunteering in tourism and volunteering among minority communities. Part of the discussion was also the opportunities offered by the European Solidarity Corps.
During the several meetings organized, all representatives from the different associations and institutions had the chance to discuss and exchange experience and good practices about volunteering in different fields. We had the opportunity to gain more knowledge about volunteering and what help it can provide to face social challenges and affect tourism by raising awareness among people about cultural and historical inheritance.
