  • The project Marielle – Never Stop Rising – Video

    🔹 With the project #Marielle – Never Stop Rising the consortium aimed to strengthen gender empowerment and prevent violence against women at risk of marginalization and gender discrimination. Women, direct beneficiaries of the project, had the chance to experience new methodologies that influenced their lives and levels of empowerment.

    Good Practices Toolkit Marielle

    Toolkit with good practices for working with women victims of violence, women at risk of marginalisation, women at risk of social exclusion. You can download the handbook for free from the link below.

    📣 The toolkit includes several methodologies aimed at trainers, social workers, therapists and other experts working with women victims of violence, women at risk of marginalization and gender discrimination, women at risk of social exclusion. The aim of the methodologies presented is to influence the empowerment levels of these women and thus help them to take a more active role in society and improve their lives in general.

    📣 The first practice aims to support women and help them identify, improve and use the skills they have already acquired, and encourage them to acquire new knowledge and skills to enter the labour market.

    📣 The second method aims to support women, on the one hand, to work through their emotions by identifying and exploring them and then expressing them using expressive movements, and on the other hand, to build a sense of trust and unity among these women, to encourage and enhance their self-esteem and confidence, empowerment, empathy and connection by placing women in different roles.

    📣 The third method uses art therapy as a means of engagement and a tool for women to improve their self-awareness while building more self-confidence and strengthening personal bonds.

    📣 These good practices are the result of three years of research conducted by the project partners and their experience with the methods. The practices that you will find in the handbook have proven to be very effective and have shown positive results in their implementation.

  • Marielle Booklet

     Marielle Booklet is already finalized! The document consists of several methodologies developed for adult educators, social workers, therapists, and other experts working with women victims of violence, women at risk of marginalization, and gender discrimination. The aim of the presented methodologies is to influence those women’s levels of empowerment and thus help them to take the part that they deserve in society, education, economics, politics and all decision-making processes.

    The following good practices are a result of three years of research conducted by the project partners and their experience with the methods. Those practices you will find in this booklet proved to be powerful and self-reliant: they sorted positive effects even if used in different languages, countries, time and general situations.

  • Final International Meeting

    Final International Meeting

    From the 5th of July to the 6th of July 2022 Association Euni Partners participated in the Final Project Meeting within the “Marielle – Never stop rising”, hosted by our partner Per Esempio Onlus, and took place in Palermo, Italy.

    The meeting served as an opportunity to present the elaborated within the project educational materials for social workers and adult educators: a video with social workers’ feedback from each partners’ country and booklet that include a new methodology developed for work with women victims of violence, in risk of marginalization and social exclusion. Evaluation of the impact of the project has been made followed up by a discussion and a possible future collaboration between the partners.

    The meeting concluded with a summary of the project’s impact, discussion, and possible future collaboration between the partners that took part in the project.

  • Art Therapy Training

    Art Therapy Training

    Association Euni Partners held a one-day training for social workers, educators and experts working with women from vulnerable groups. The training was based on art therapy (craftmanship) where all participants had to create portraits of each other and afterward reflect on all the feelings and thoughts that arose in them during the process. This method of work helped the participants to improve their self-knowledge while building more self-esteem and strengthening their personal connections.

    The experience of building a team during the activities encouraged the creation of an interpersonal trust, needed in order to build a group that enables people to feel safe to share and be authentic.

    The training was held on the 17th of June 2022 with the experts from the Center for social integration and rehabilitation, Strumyani. It is part of the project #Marielle – Never Stop Rising.

    Learning Training Teaching Activities using craft

    Association Euni Partners took part in the last Learning Teaching Training Activities (LTTA) within the project #Marielle – Never stop rising. The 4-days training was held in Palermo, where the partners had the opportunity to deepen their work and to meet Italian associations that work with people from vulnerable groups, and more specifically women, victims of violence and discrimination and at risk of social exclusion.

    During the training, the host organization Association Handala presented their method of work focused on building self-esteem and strengthening the personal connection, by using craftsmanship called “pupazZen”. All partners took the opportunity to get to know each other and through the process of creating and presenting the self-made embroidery, which was part of the creation of the “pupazZen”.

    Virtual Training “Socialization Self-Esteem as a Tool for Self-Efficacy”

    Association Euni Partners conducted a virtual training within the project #Marielle – Never Stop Rising, aiming at economic and personal empowerment of women from vulnerable groups.

    Within the 4-days activities Euni Partners presented 6 workshops using dance and body movement methodology, which can be used by social workers, therapists, adult educators and organizations as a tool for working with women at risk of marginalization, victims of violence and gender discrimination. Participants in the training – project partners and other experts – had the opportunity to get acquainted with the activities closely and to discuss their future implementation and adaptation respectively.

    “Socialization Self-Esteem as a Tool for Self-Efficacy” training aims to support women, from one side, to go through their emotions by identifying and exploring them, and further accept and express them using dance and body movement, and from the other side – to build a sense of trust and unity, to encourage and enhance self-confidence and self-esteem, empowerment, empathy and connection by putting the women in different roles. The presented workshops used during the training were inspired by the Erasmus + projects Lifelong Dancing and Dance Against Bullying.

    Marielle – Never Stop Rising

    The general objective of the project is to contribute to strengthen gender empowerment and prevent violence against women at risk of marginality. Its specific objectives are:
    •  to foster the achievement by educators and social workers of specific skills in order to support women at risk of marginalization, victims of violence and gender discrimination through an exchange of good practices;
    •  to raise the level of awareness and the development of life skills in women at risk and victims of violence to support them in the process of empowerment from the condition of marginality and oppression;
    •  to increase the commitment of the organisations in empowering and preventing discrimination and violence against women by creating a European network that could act locally and internationally.
    The project includes three short term joint staff training events on the following topics:
    • economic empowerment of women;
    • socialization and self-esteem as a tool for self-efficacy;
    • social tailoring as a tool to make gender-based violence emerge and to acknowledge the importance of the relationship between the target groups and the urban environment in which they live.
    The whole project will transversally experience the application of the following methodologies: mutual learning; peer education; cooperative learning and active learning methods; intercultural education; non-formal education. Women, direct beneficiaries of the project, will have the chance to experience new methodologies that will influence their levels of empowerment.

  • Short Staff Joint Training Model of Competences

    Short Staff Joint Training Model of Competences

    The first training “Model of Competences and the Balance of Competences’’ was held in Barcelona, between 2nd and 5th of March 2020. The training, organized by SURT, is part of the project ,,Marielle – never stop rising’’,  aiming at economic and personal empowering of women from vulnerable groups.

    During the training all project partners had the chance to get acquainted with a competence-based methodology, both on theory and practice, through participation in various thematic activities and discussions. Experts, with experience with the Model of Competence introduced tools linked to different methodologies as reflection-action, art therapy and body work, mentoring and mutual support groups which can be used by social workers, adult educators or organisations, working with women at risk of marginalization, victims of violence and gender discrimination.

    Model of Competence methodology is a practice that supports women in their paths by recognizing, enhancing and exploiting their abilities to push them to acquire new skills and knowledge, enter the labour market or start a business. According to this model, competences are classified as follows: basic competences, technical, professional and business competences and transversal competences. The methodology will be adapted according to the specific context and implemented by each of the partners on local level.

    On the last day of the training the consortium visited the Fundació Intermedia, a non-profit organization with a long-term experience in social activities for improving the employment of people at risk of exclusion through advice, orientation, training, and development of professional skills.

    Women empowerment – Marielle

    First meeting within the project “Marielle – never stop rising” was held in Palermo, Italy.

    Dates: 17th – 20th of December 2019

    The aim of the meeting was all participants to discuss in depth the implementation of the project and the next steps. The meeting started with presentation of their activities with special focus on women empowerment by each project partner, followed by short description of the project and more detailed information about coordination.

    Association Euni Partners presented the outline of the “Socialization and self-esteem as a tool for self efficacy” training it is responsible for organizing. This activity will take place in Bulgaria in October 2020.
