Association “Euni Partners” is pleased to announce the successful implementation of debates on the topic of “Active Citizenship,” held in collaboration with the Bulgarian Red Cross Youth.
The event is a part of the project “EUth: Strengthening Youth and Democracy in Europe” funded by the Erasmus+ programme.
On April 9th, 2025, the Association organized a debate event with young members of the Bulgarian Red Cross Youth. Key topics discussed included the active civic participation of young people in public life, the role of youth councils in policymaking and decision-making processes, and the level of trust young people have in institutions.
The debates inspired deep reflections on the importance of the youth voice in society and the challenges to effectively implementing democratic values. Participants demonstrated skills in argumentation, teamwork, and tolerance toward differing points of view. During the discussions, they not only analyzed situations from Bulgaria but also examined examples from European Union practices.
The event contributed to strengthening the participants’ sense of European identity and increasing their motivation to be active citizens.
At the end of the event, three of them also shared their proposals for change with European politicians and institutions.
