The project “EUth: Strengthening Youth and Democracy in Europe” brought together five European partner organisations with a shared commitment to strengthening civic participation, democratic values and active citizenship among young people.
Over the course of two years, the project partners focused on the exchange of good practices in youth work, mutual learning and the development of practical tools that empower young people to engage meaningfully in their communities. The project created a collaborative space where experience, expertise and diverse national perspectives were transformed into concrete, sustainable results.
Throughout the project, partner organisations actively exchanged tested methodologies and approaches in areas such as:
- Civic participation;
- Democracy and human rights;
- Digital skills;
- Media literacy and critical thinking;
- Identity, inclusion and respect;
- Understanding the European Union.
International meetings, workshops and local activities enabled youth workers and young participants to explore innovative ways of fostering leadership, encouraging dialogue and strengthening democratic engagement. The collaboration reinforced the importance of non-formal education as a powerful tool for social impact.
One of the key outcomes of the project is the development of the EUth Compass E-Toolkit with Best Practices and Tools. This comprehensive methodological guide gathers working and already tested good practices implemented throughout the project.
The Toolkit includes:
- Detailed activity scenarios;
- Practical facilitation guidelines;
- Recommendations from young participants;
- Transferable methods adaptable to different local contexts.
Designed for youth workers, educators and organisations, the Toolkit serves as a sustainable resource that extends the project’s impact beyond its official duration. It supports professionals in creating inclusive learning environments, encouraging active citizenship and strengthening young people’s confidence to participate in democratic processes.
The results of the project remain accessible to organisations and youth workers seeking inspiration and practical guidance in promoting civic engagement.
The EUth Compass E-Toolkit stands as a testament to the power of European cooperation under the Erasmus+ Programme.
Strengthening democratic culture. Empowering young voices. Supporting active citizenship across Europe.
